Frequently Asked Questions

MEL13 Solar
What makes MEL13 Solar different from other sunscreens?
Most SPFs only filter ultraviolet radiation. MEL13 Solar includes melatonin and Coenzyme Q10, which act on oxidative damage that radiation has already caused to cells. It protects and repairs at the same time — something no conventional sunscreen does.
What level of sun protection does it offer?
SPF 50, a very high protection category according to European regulations. It covers the full spectrum: UVB, UVA, high-energy visible light (HEV) and near-infrared (IR-A) radiation, which also contribute to photoaging but which most SPFs do not block.
Does it also protect from blue light from screens?
Yes. The HEV filter covers the high-energy visible light range (380–500 nm), which includes both direct sunlight and that emitted by mobile and computer screens.
What skin type is it suitable for?
For all skin types. The texture is non-greasy and fast-absorbing, with no white residue, making it comfortable even for combination or oily skin. Especially recommended for skin prone to photoaging, blemishes, or that has undergone dermatological treatments.
Does it leave a white residue or feel greasy?
No. The formula is designed for immediate absorption with no whitish residue and no occlusive sensation.
How often should it be reapplied?
Every two hours of direct sun exposure, or immediately after swimming or towel drying. This is the standard recommendation for any SPF 50.
What does the launch pack include?
The pack includes two units of MEL13 Solar Body SPF50 and a transparent toiletry bag as a gift. Available while supplies last during the launch period.
Is it backed by scientific research?
Yes. Pharmamel is a biotechnology company founded at the University of Granada in 2014, with over 25 years of basic research in mitochondrial melatonin. The formulations of the MEL13 range are patented.
